Key responsibilities & impact

Own software solutions spanning core mesh platforms, data interfaces, and release management deployed directly to customers
Deliver well-architected systems using modern software engineering practices, including code and design reviews
Champion scalability, reliability, testability, portability, and maintainability
Drive software solutions end-to-end, partnering with end-users to translate complex needs into features
Collaborate across teams to plan, build, and test complex, cross-functional functionality
Create and analyze monitoring metrics, triage production issues, root-cause failures, and coordinate next steps
Travel 10%–30% to meet customers, collaborate with global teammates, understand operating conditions, and build, test, and deploy capabilities in the field

Requirements

What you’ll need

Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Secret Clearance
Strong engineering background from industry or school, ideally in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Networking, Mathematics, or Physics
At least 3-10+ years working with programming languages such as Go, Python, Java, C++, Rust, etc.
Experience building software solutions involving significant amounts of data processing and analysis
Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases
A desire to work on critical software that has a real-world impact
Preferred: experience working with and designing distributed systems
Preferred: proven ability to deliver high-quality results at pace, ideally within a startup or high-growth environment
Preferred: deep networking experience, especially for distributed systems operating in non-standard networking conditions
Preferred: familiarity with AWS, Azure, networking, security, and distributed systems
Preferred: demonstrated understanding of computers and networks
Preferred: professional software development lifecycle experience using version control and CI/CD systems
Preferred: familiarity with monitoring, logging, and data management tools and best practices
