About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and manage mechanical casting commodities/subcategories to execute supplier production strategies from NPI to full production across Anduril’s business lines
- Serve as a force multiplier for the Supply Chain team and overall commodity strategy
- Vet supplier production capabilities, factory layout, facilities, and workforce for inclusion in the Approved Supplier List
- Support Supplier Quality Engineers in ensuring suppliers understand and adhere to part-quality criteria
- Bring up new production tooling and lines and develop supplier capabilities to meet performance, quality, and demand requirements
- Own capacity expansion readiness and supplier production ramp-up
- Establish and drive process performance and statistical process control reviews at suppliers
- Identify and drive product and process improvements, factory-layout optimization, cost reduction, supply-risk reduction, defect elimination, and cycle-time improvements
- Support root-cause task forces and close corrective/preventive actions at suppliers in coordination with Supply Chain and suppliers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field
- 6+ years of experience in supplier quality and industrialization within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with category technical expertise, including composites manufacturing, metallurgy, IPC standards, CAD, and GD&T
- Ability to travel at least 50% of the time
- Previous experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, high tech, or another related industry preferred
- Strong understanding of quality systems, standards, and certifications preferred
- Familiarity with developing high-tech products in a high-mix, low-volume environment preferred
- Exposure to working in a fast-paced, start-up environment preferred
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance preferred
