About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and manage mechanical casting commodities/subcategories to execute supplier production strategies from NPI through full production across Anduril’s business lines
  • Vet supplier production capabilities, factory layout, facilities, and workforce for inclusion in the Approved Supplier List
  • Support Supplier Quality Engineers in ensuring suppliers understand and adhere to part-quality criteria
  • Bring up new production tooling and lines and develop supplier processes to meet performance, quality, and demand requirements
  • Own supplier capacity expansion readiness and production ramp-up
  • Establish and drive statistical process control (SPC) reviews at suppliers
  • Identify and drive product and process improvements and factory-layout optimization to lower cost, reduce supply risk, eliminate defects, and improve cycle time
  • Support root-cause task forces and close corrective/preventive actions at suppliers
  • Coordinate closely with internal engineering, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing teams and directly with suppliers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field
  • 6+ years of experience in supplier quality and industrialization within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with mechanical casting manufacturing, IPC standards, CAD, and GD&T
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time
  • Previous experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, high tech, or another related industry (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, standards, and certifications (preferred)
  • Familiarity with developing high-tech products in a high-mix, low-volume environment (preferred)
  • Exposure to working in a fast-paced, start-up environment (preferred)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills (preferred)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance (preferred)
