About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the month-end close process
- Perform general ledger reconciliations and ensure financial record accuracy
- Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and budgets
- Support month-end, quarterly, and year-end closing processes
- Prepare documentation for audits and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with departments to resolve financial discrepancies and issues
- Participate in financial analysis and forecasting
- Conduct periodic account reviews to identify and rectify discrepancies
- Maintain and control general ledger accounts in accordance with US GAAP
- Stay current with accounting regulations and industry best practices
- Report to the Accounting Manager
- Perform other duties assigned by management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required
- 1–3 years of public and/or corporate accounting experience
- Proficiency in accounting principles and financial software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance standards, including US GAAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software applications
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
