About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate and efficiently perform searches of Anthony Nolan’s database for suitable stem cell donors
  • Support UK and overseas transplant centres in identifying the best possible donors
  • Provide search reports for UK and international registries for unrelated adult donors and cord blood units
  • Facilitate provision of blood samples from donors selected for further investigation
  • Ensure transplant centres have the information required to determine their final donor choice
  • Support patients in need of lifesaving stem cell transplants

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Scientific knowledge and experience applicable to stem cell donor searching and selection
  • Enthusiastic and driven approach
  • Ability to coordinate and efficiently perform database searches for suitable donors
  • All applicants must be able to demonstrate the right to work in the UK
  • Ability to work 35 hours per week during standard Anthony Nolan working hours
