About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide on-site service across the Central states, with a focus on Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, Kansas, North Dakota and South Dakota
  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of instruments at customer sites within the assigned region
  • Install instruments and provide customer training across all product lines
  • Manage inventory

  • Complete administrative tasks related to service functions
  • Report to the Central Region Field Service Manager in Vernon Hills, Illinois
  • Support Anton Paar's high-precision measuring instruments for physical, chemical, mechanical, and structural properties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3 years experience in troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining complex analytical instruments
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Ability to work with electronic schematics, test equipment, and repair tools
  • Associate's degree in engineering or related technical field
  • Availability for frequent overnight travel (up to 75%)
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record and passport
  • Candidates should be located in or near Des Moines, Iowa
  • Not eligible for current or future work authorization or visa sponsorship
