About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage the full recruitment process
Collaborate with hiring managers to conduct intake meetings
Assist in drafting job descriptions and provide insights on compensation and market trends
Proactively source and recruit technical and professional talent in the engineering and environmental services sector nationwide
Screen resumes and conduct initial phone interviews
Provide detailed written summaries for hiring managers
Coordinate and schedule candidate interviews
Maintain consistent communication with candidates, hiring managers, and key stakeholders
Prepare and extend job offers, negotiating as necessary
Track candidate information and progress using the ATS and other tools
Comply with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and company policies
Deliver an exceptional candidate experience through regular follow-up and feedback
Collaborate with the Apex Recruiting Team to achieve hiring goals

Requirements

What you’ll need

Recent experience recruiting Water/Wastewater, Drinking Water and/or Stormwater Engineers is required; applicants without this experience will not be considered
8+ years of experience recruiting Water/Wastewater Engineers, Drinking Water or Stormwater Engineers or related technical roles is required
Transportation recruiting experience in addition to Water is strongly preferred
Proven skills in candidate sourcing, networking, and outreach
A well-established network of A/E/C professionals
Strong interviewing skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Proficiency in using software and computer systems
Ability to take ownership and deliver results
Adaptability and resilience in fast-paced, evolving environments
Robust work ethic, positive attitude, and high personal and professional standards
