About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete evaluations and detailed assessments of needs for individuals requiring a Behavioral Support Plan (BSP) or Restrictive Procedure Plan (RPP)
  • Collect and evaluate behavioral data
  • Observe individuals in various settings to develop BSPs/RPPs
  • Collaborate with individuals, families, and support teams to develop BSPs/RPPs
  • Conduct comprehensive functional assessments of presenting issues, including aggression, self-injurious behavior, law offending behavior, and elopement
  • Develop positive interventions and individualized BSPs/RPPs
  • Ensure support plans are Person Driven, integrate Practice Based Evidence, and reflect individuals’ core clinical needs
  • Train and mentor support/program staff, families, and team members on behavior support plans
  • Implement activities and strategies identified in BSPs/RPPs
  • Monitor BSP/RPP implementation
  • Collect, organize, review, and analyze data on challenging strategies
  • Maintain and update behavioral data tracking tools and create progress documentation using Excel
  • Convey trends, progress, success, or the need to change approaches
  • Review and revise BSPs/RPPs annually or when a Critical Revision is requested
  • Collect BSP/RPP signatures electronically through DocuSign
  • Partner with interdisciplinary teams to schedule and facilitate annual BSP/RPP training
  • Attend psychiatric, medical, and therapy appointments as needed
  • Participate in Interdisciplinary Team and Quarterly ISP meetings
  • Protect individuals’ human rights
  • Participate in Human Rights Team, County Human Rights Committee, and Positive Practices Review Committee reviews
  • Complete required summaries and supporting documentation
  • Collect feedback on individual and team experiences of supports and services
  • Document billable/non-billable time in SETWorks, Progress Notes, and Monthly Progress Review Summary Notes
  • Submit monthly oversight information to supervisors
  • Participate in supervision and mentoring meetings
  • Review ISP Caseload Tool monthly for accuracy
  • Review Authorization Spreadsheets and update the team on changes in need
  • Submit accurate documentation and paperwork required by State and Federal Regulations, PDCS, and HIPAA
  • Complete PDCS Annual Training requirements
  • Follow up on correspondence, mailings, and filing as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, Counseling or other health related fields
  • Two (2) to Five (5) years behavioral support services experience
  • Knowledge and experience with Positive Approaches, Dual Diagnosis, Person Centered Thinking, Trauma Informed Care, group facilitation and staff mentoring a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent writing, documentation, and record keeping skills
  • Experience with Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and written behavioral/treatment plans
  • Ability to use Excel for behavioral data tracking and progress documentation
  • Ability to use DocuSign for electronic signatures
  • Ability to use SETWorks, Progress Notes (PN), and Monthly Progress Review Summary Notes (MPRSN)
  • Ability to complete required documentation in compliance with State and Federal Regulations, PDCS, and HIPAA
  • Ability to complete PDCS Annual Training requirements
