About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as the primary People partner for Technology leaders and other support areas
- Own organizational climate, eNPS, and wellbeing measurement; translate results into leader-owned action plans
- Lead compensation benchmarking, banding, merit, promotion, and equity conversations
- Drive performance management cycles, including goal setting, assessments, calibration, and follow-through
- Coach managers through low-performance cases
- Partner with Talent Acquisition on workforce planning, hiring bar, and time-to-fill for critical technical roles
- Own internal mobility, succession, and retention risk for key people
- Manage sensitive employee-relations cases, team engagement plans, and exits across multiple jurisdictions
- Build career frameworks, leveling, and competency models for technical and other tracks
- Design and deliver development programs for first-time and second-layer managers
- Lead organizational design work covering spans of control, team structures, and restructures
- Embed company values and direct-feedback behaviors into hiring, feedback, and promotion criteria
- Document, measure, and iterate People processes
- Identify manual People workflows and rebuild them as AI-assisted automations
- Prototype and build AI tools for live People processes
- Create self-service dashboards and reporting for leaders
- Establish responsible AI-use standards for sensitive employee data
- Track automation adoption, hours recovered, and error-rate reductions
- Report directly to the Head of People
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years in Human Resources, including at least 3 years as an HRBP supporting technical, product, or engineering organizations
- Demonstrated ownership of compensation cycles, performance management cycles, and organizational climate measurement end-to-end
- Track record designing and implementing OD processes from scratch, including career frameworks, leveling, manager development, or org design
- Expert-level or deep working knowledge of organizational development processes
- Hands-on use of AI tools to automate real work; shipped at least one automation removing manual effort from a live process
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets proficiency
- Comfort with HRIS exports and ability to build reporting independently
- Experience managing employee relations and terminations with real legal exposure
- Strong written communication and ability to write executive recommendations
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Business, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent demonstrable experience
- Spanish native or advanced
- English fluent; hard requirement for day-to-day work with the Technology organization
- Nice to have: fintech, payments, or high-growth Series B–C experience
- Nice to have: multi-country People experience in LATAM
- Nice to have: BambooHR or comparable HRIS and exposure to equity administration platforms such as Carta
- Nice to have: basic SQL, Python, or no-code automation tooling such as n8n, Zapier, or Make
- Nice to have: experience supporting an engineering organization through rapid headcount growth
- Nice to have: familiarity with Mexican remote-work and labor-compliance regulations
