About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own the order-to-cash process from order creation through invoicing, collections, and cash application
Own revenue recognition under ASC 606, including monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting
Support and maintain technical accounting memos and schedules for ASC 606, ASC 340-40, ASC 350-40, and ASC 842
Lead new billing and revenue system implementations, driving accounting requirements and stakeholder alignment
Create and deploy automation workflows across invoicing and collections
Partner with Deal Desk and Product on new SKU launches and system/process readiness
Assist with monthly and quarterly close activities, including revenue reconciliations, sales tax reporting, and technical accounting
Support the annual financial audit by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests
Manage collections, oversee dunning processes, monitor AR aging, and conduct outreach to customers with past-due accounts
Partner with Finance leadership, Revenue Operations, Deal Desk, Product, and Engineering to modernize billing, collection, and reporting processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, including billing, accounts receivable, and revenue accounting at a high-growth SaaS company
Working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles
Experience building and utilizing automations for process improvement
Track record of building accounting processes and systems
Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable owning longer-term projects alongside day-to-day tasks
Strong collaboration skills and experience partnering with cross-functional teams
Experience with NetSuite and modern billing and collections systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets for reconciliations and analysis
CPA or actively pursuing CPA licensure is nice to have
Public Accounting experience is nice to have
Exposure to technical accounting topics such as capitalized commissions, internal-use software, or lease accounting (ASC 842) is nice to have
Experience supporting a financial statement audit is nice to have
