About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Maintain a constant inventory of clean laboratory glassware and a clean washing area
Execute the laboratory waste disposal program
Identify and address potential Health and Safety hazards
Perform automatic and manual cleaning of laboratory glassware according to approved procedure
Monitor and maintain adequate supplies of lab consumables, cleaning supplies, and glassware
Perform clerical support and other related duties
Clean dissolution baths and assist with dissolution apparatus maintenance
Collect and dispose of laboratory waste according to established protocol
Perform LIMS entries for laboratory chemicals, prepare labels, and dispose of empty bottles
Maintain orderly laboratory work areas, including sinks and countertops
Maintain laboratory gas cylinders and replace empty cylinders
Follow compliance, quality, safety, environmental, business ethics, and HR policies
Collaborate as a team member to achieve work outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
Proficiency in Written and Verbal English communication
Knowledge of Excel, Word, other Microsoft Office programs, and laboratory software programs and packages would be an asset
Experience in a Lab environment would be an asset
Ability to perform repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs
