About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Secure market share from new and existing pharmacy customers through personal account visits
  • Manage inventory as required, process returns, and take orders
  • Negotiate to achieve net sales targets while controlling trade spend
  • Represent Apotex at pharmacy social and sporting events
  • Attend pharmacy conventions, buying shows, and pharmacy education events
  • Communicate market issues, customer concerns, business gains/losses, and competitive pricing to office teams
  • Explain new industry developments and Apotex products to customers
  • Liaise with Accounts Receivable to keep customer accounts current and collect payments
  • Enter and maintain account information in SFE/CRM, including sales calls, contacts, and account performance
  • Analyze sales progress and develop strategic plans for each account using IMS and SFE/CRM data
  • Develop and execute an annual territory business plan
  • Work within an annual promotional budget
  • Conduct annual business reviews
  • Submit territory and expense reports within a maximum four-week delay
  • Maintain current document training and prioritize training gap reports to maintain 100% compliance
  • Report suspected adverse events to Global Pharmacovigilance according to company SOPs
  • Follow corporate, regulatory, quality, safety, environmental, and HR compliance requirements
  • Work safely and collaboratively to achieve established objectives
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University degree in business or sciences, or equivalent business experience
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and ability to meet customer needs
  • Basic knowledge of English
  • Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and Apotex products
  • Computer skills for email communication and data manipulation
  • Ability to negotiate skillfully with stakeholders
  • Valid driver's license
  • Minimum of 3 years of successful professional sales experience, preferably in pharmaceuticals
