About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Physically receive, inspect, clean, sort, label, store, and receive inbound materials in SAP
  • Supply raw, semi-finished, component, and finished materials to manufacturing, packaging, and internal customers
  • Perform shift-start inspections and assist with maintenance of material-handling systems
  • Use material-handling equipment safely and efficiently to unload, verify, inspect, and receive materials
  • Identify and address shipment exceptions, including quantity discrepancies, damage, or contamination
  • Transfer products from receiving and sampling areas to appropriate locations
  • Distribute mail, documents, packages, and stationery supplies
  • Manage dock scheduling and provide procurement feedback on vendor performance
  • Maintain receiving and warehouse supplies
  • Handle exceptional materials and products, including refrigerated materials, hazardous materials, gases, waste, and controlled materials
  • Deliver materials to manufacturing, packaging, and other departments; update inventory using RF and/or SAP
  • Complete SAP transfer orders and resolve inventory or service-level issues
  • Locate and retrieve products for sampling
  • Process tote and bottle-tote movements
  • Perform basic shipping tasks, including interplant shipments and outbound courier deliveries
  • Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate SAP inventory
  • Maintain work areas in an audit-ready 5S state
  • Participate in audits, inspections, assessments, and corrective actions
  • Follow regulatory, quality, safety, environmental, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate as a team member and perform other relevant duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalency
  • Fluent in English written and oral communication
  • Competent operator of MHE; Raymond and Cleco MHEs
  • Knowledge of conveyors is an asset
  • Intermediate knowledge of computer operations, SAP modules for warehouse operations, RF, warehouse databases, and intranet
  • Willing to work various shifts and/or overtime when needed
  • Able to ascend and descend ladders to rack heights and operate equipment at height without fear
  • Previous warehouse experience is an asset
  • Compliance with Ontario Occupational Health & Safety requirements and applicable regulatory requirements
