About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor and observe assigned patients virtually
- Intervene virtually as appropriate
- Escalate interventions to nursing staff as needed
- Communicate patient status changes or concerns to nursing staff
- Report safety hazards
- Participate in team conferences, shift handoffs, in-service education, and staff meetings
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Utilize effective communication skills and active listening
- Practice Hands Off communication using SBAR
- Serve as a positive influence and role model while adhering to a professional code of conduct
- Respect patient dignity and confidentiality
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
- Up to 1 year of work experience preferred but not required
- Basic awareness of problem solving and decision-making skills
- Basic awareness of digital literacy skills
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to deal tactfully with customers, patients, community and family members
- Ability to handle sensitive information ethically and responsibly
- Ability to choose the most appropriate action by considering relative costs and benefits
- Ability to function in clinical settings with diverse cultural dynamics of clinical staff and patients
- Additional training may be required or provided for virtual platform
