About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage all deal desk processes, including intake, preparation, and issuance of sales quotes and expansions
- Prepare and refine quotes and support the quoting process end-to-end
- Work with Legal and Finance to maintain and improve quote workflows
- Implement configurations and process changes related to pricing, discounting, contract terms, and approvals
- Drive efficient and effective quoting through tools, processes, and best practices
- Serve as a subject matter expert on CPQ quote automation software and CRM systems
- Partner with Legal to standardize contract terms relevant to quoting and sales
- Maintain deal desk data tracking and reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
- Provide regular training to Sales and Customer Success teams
- Manage and scale a small team
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Revenue Operations
- Report directly to the General Counsel
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- 8–10+ years of relevant professional experience in increasingly senior deal desk and/or revenue roles related to sales
- Experience working in a fast-paced SaaS environment
- Demonstrated experience with CPQ software/platforms and automation
- Experience with CRM systems; HubSpot a plus
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and DocuSign
- Strong ability to work independently and in collaborative cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication skills and ability to navigate sales, finance, and legal perspectives
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, process thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with distributed/global teams
- Demonstrated experience in a B2B SaaS deal desk manager or similar role
- Experience in SaaS or subscription-based businesses strongly preferred
- Financial acumen and knowledge of revenue recognition
- Ability to handle complex SaaS or technology deals
- Ability to organize and prioritize activities
- Organizational, follow-up, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Experience working directly with legal or contracts teams
- Knowledge of SaaS commercial terms and metrics
