About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Monitor and reconcile dealer receivable accounts for premium recapture and ancillary products
  • Automate and streamline dealer invoices and statements, including invoice and payment application
  • Partner with sales to maintain dealer participation recapture terms and reporting logic
  • Serve as accounting point of contact for cross-functional initiatives affecting reporting, invoicing, payments, and dealer transactions
  • Develop monthly variance analysis and reporting for dealers and business leaders
  • Ensure ancillary-product customer refunds comply with state regulations and are tracked
  • Research and resolve dealer-payment discrepancies and complaints
  • Improve processes to ensure compliance with legal and accounting regulations
  • Support and validate dealer disbursement activity through the Dealer Disbursement Application via net settlement
  • Translate operational and system changes into accounting requirements and identify downstream impacts
  • Escalate cross-functional risks, issues, and ambiguities with recommended solutions
  • Evaluate accounting processes and research accounting treatment for new business transactions
  • Perform other duties assigned by Accounting Operations Management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or commensurate work experience required
  • CPA required
  • 4 years of progressive experience in accounting required
  • 2 years public accounting and/or internal controls experience preferred
  • Proficient in the utilization of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large data sets preferred
  • Excellent reasoning and critical thinking skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage expectations in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time and work on a computer 90% of the time
  • May occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 20 pounds
