About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Qualify suppliers using relevant processes through audits, compliance assessments, and supplier development plans
- Clarify requirements with suppliers during the tendering, qualification, and execution phases
- Review, comment on, and validate supplier technical documentation for compliance with contractual, normative, regulatory, and industry best-practice requirements
- Develop expertise in product manufacturing processes and propose continuous improvements for suppliers
- Lead or contribute to root cause analyses, define corrective actions, and monitor their implementation and effectiveness
- Conduct or supervise counter-expertise activities related to special processes, including dimensional inspection, welding, and NDT
- Capture lessons learned and lead training sessions to strengthen internal capabilities
- Act as a cross-functional expert across product lines, including turbines, alternators, pumps, heat exchangers, balance of plant (BoP), and services
- Interface directly with suppliers, Supplier Quality teams, project teams, and customers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Expertise in at least one manufacturing process, such as casting, forging, welding, machining, metrology, NDT, or anticorrosion
- IWE certification or equivalent preferred for welding
- ISO 9712 or ASNT Level 2 certification in at least one NDT method required
- FROSIO certification is a plus for anticorrosion expertise
- Experience in the nuclear or energy sector strongly preferred
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, and complex problem-solving skills
- Ability to make clear technical decisions and explain them to different stakeholders
- Ability to provide cross-functional leadership without direct hierarchical authority
- Rigor, autonomy, and strong prioritization skills
- Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
- Proficiency in written and spoken English; French is a plus
- At least 5 years of experience in inspection, quality, manufacturing, or industrial methods
- Experience with complex projects, ideally in heavy industry, energy, or nuclear environments
- Willingness and availability to travel to suppliers
