About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Wash, transport, and properly store dishes and kitchen utensils
- Perform required cleaning and sanitation duties
- Maintain the cleanliness and general upkeep of the kitchen and equipment
- Assist with food preparation as required
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and surrounding areas
- Follow all applicable health, safety, and hygiene standards
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous experience in a remote camp or isolated work environment is considered an asset
- A valid WHMIS certification is considered an asset
- Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to meet operational requirements
- Adhere to all health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations
- Strong physical ability to safely lift, carry, and handle materials and equipment
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive working relationships with clients and coworkers
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Demonstrate independence, initiative, and a strong sense of responsibility
- Required to complete a criminal background check and, where applicable, a vulnerable sector verification
