About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as the agency representative to clients, fellow professionals, the public, and the general business community
- Provide counsel and advice on new and/or additional insurance needs
- Explain insurance coverages and types of policies
- Identify risk exposures and qualify potential prospects
- Maintain an underwriting renewal review process for policyholders
- Maintain a marketing renewal review program for policyholders
- Act as the first line of contact for reporting and assigning claim information for designated policyholders
- Resolve general customer inquiries
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience with Personal Lines insurance is a plus
- Massachusetts Property & Casualty insurance license is strongly encouraged, but not required; training and support are offered to obtain the license
- Customer Service and Sales skills are required
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Self-starter able to work independently and as a team player
- Ability to work 37.5 hours per week
