About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete all case activities promptly while maximizing customer service and minimizing net loss payout
  • Contact insureds, claimants, and witnesses in person, by telephone, or in writing
  • Input and retrieve information using the automated claims system
  • Request checks, form letters, and correspondence through the automated claims system
  • Evaluate case facts to determine coverage, liability, and reserves
  • Report on settlements and maintain a reminder system
  • Negotiate settlements with individuals, attorneys, and other insurance carriers with guidance
  • Keep management informed of activities and problems within the assigned area of responsibility
  • Pursue subrogation and arrange salvage to maximize recovery
  • Provide claim status information to interested parties and local agents
  • Maintain claim files and document claim activities according to established procedures
  • Manage and track claims referred to Subrogation counsel
  • Navigate and manage E-Subro Hub daily
  • Prepare written contentions for arbitration filings when liability and damages are disputed
  • Perform other related duties as required or requested

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1+ years of general office and/or retail and service industry experience
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service, communication and collaboration skills
  • Successfully complete all required in-house training
  • Ability to work with automated claims systems
  • Ability to evaluate coverage, liability, and reserves
  • Ability to negotiate settlements within granted settlement authority
  • Ability to manage claims referred to Subrogation counsel
  • Ability to navigate and manage E-Subro Hub
  • Ability to prepare written contentions for arbitration filings
