About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide administrative and operational support to the human resources department
- Execute daily HR processes and maintain human resources records, forms, and documents
- Assist with recruitment, job descriptions, requisitions, interview scheduling, and onboarding logistics
- Maintain talent development and management templates, guides, forms, and HRIS materials
- Use salary benchmarking tools and aggregate salary information
- Add and remove employees from HRIS, training, timekeeping, and expense systems
- Maintain and audit salaries, benefit deductions, earning codes, and 401k contributions
- Prepare benefits, compensation, payroll, and compliance reports
- Train as a payroll backup and execute payroll as needed
- Coordinate and conduct new-hire onboarding training
- Maintain SharePoint, training systems, UKG Ready Learning Center, OpenSesame, and HRIS content
- Conduct exit meetings and interviews, administer surveys, and assist with performance reviews
- Administer DiSC assessments and training
- Respond to Tier 1 employee support requests and assist with leave programs
- Coordinate engagement activities, communications, employee recognition, events, and staff surveys
- Manage wellness, training and development, and HR communications channels
- Maintain staff webpages and organizational charts
- Prepare VETS 4212, EEO-1, Bureau of Labor Statistics, and other compliance reports
- Research state employment law, registration, tax, and employer compliance requirements
- Run monthly debarment checks
- Manage the HR email box and provide timely responses
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate’s degree in business administration, psychology, or another related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience providing support in a human resources department
- Proficiency and efficiency in utilizing Office 365 suite of products
- Excellent emotional intelligence skills to manage confidential information
- Professional verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills
- Initiative to resolve problems through researching issues and deeply understanding systems and documentation
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, labor relations, or a related field preferred
- Industry credential helpful but not required
- Previous UKG Ready or Pro experience preferred
- Interest in leveraging HRIS systems to automate and streamline processes and workflows
