Underwriting Service Specialist

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide service delivery for moderately complicated accounts for policy and endorsement issuance
- File documentation and set-up
- Review account information for entry into appropriate systems to ensure quality data reporting
- Order, prepare and/or update reports
- Perform policy rating and/or initial entry into rating model
- Process various underwriting transactions and requests
- Communicate with internal functions and brokers as key contact for assigned accounts
- Handle booking and invoicing
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Demonstrated technical skills and insurance knowledge (WC, GL, Property & Commercial Auto)
- Analytical and problem solving ability
- Collaborative and team-oriented
- Demonstrated resource for colleagues and other internal business partners
- Self-directed showing personal accountability and sense of urgency
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or Insurance Designation preferred
- 2-5 years’ experience in Insurance industry
- Experience with WC, GL, Property and/or Commercial Auto
