About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and provide strategic direction for SEO and GEO campaigns with support from the SEO/GEO Manager
  • Optimize organic search performance to meet partner enrollment objectives
  • Conduct technical audits, keyword and prompt research, metadata development, on-page optimization, and internal/external linking
  • Implement and QA structured data and verify HTML-to-JSON-LD parity
  • Build and maintain entity coverage, knowledge graph grounding, entity signals, and topical authority mapping
  • Monitor and report AI search visibility, including share of voice, citation rate, brand mentions, sentiment, and competitor displacement
  • Structure content for retrieval using answer-first formatting, semantic chunking, extractable summaries, quotable statistics, and original data
  • Manage account and partner communications around performance, strategy, execution, and organic search knowledge
  • Educate stakeholders about AI search
  • Collaborate with content teams and subject matter experts on SEO- and GEO-driven deliverables
  • Contribute to departmental processes, automation, and repeatable deliverables
  • Use AI tooling to scale research, analysis, and QA while human-verifying every output
  • Work with content strategists and creative teams to drive integrated SEO and GEO strategy
  • Translate AI search industry changes into practical process updates

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant certifications
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Demonstrable work on AI search visibility or generative engine optimization
  • Knowledge of general marketing strategy and how organic search intersects with paid media, lifecycle, lead generation, and down-funnel conversion metrics
  • Knowledge of organic channel strategy and best practices across traditional search and AI answer engines
  • Knowledge of technical SEO, content strategy, digital PR, link acquisition, on-page optimization, and AI visibility
  • Working command of structured data, schema markup, entity SEO, and knowledge graph concepts
  • Ability to diagnose crawl, render, and indexation issues, including JavaScript rendering parity for AI crawlers
  • Fluency with GA4, Google Search Console, Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and AI visibility measurement platforms
  • Applied prompt engineering and AI workflow experience
  • Clear written and verbal communication; ability to present to audiences
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%
  • Previous agency experience preferred
  • Higher education or regulated-vertical marketing experience preferred
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, code structure, and JSON-LD preferred
  • Experience with enterprise or higher-ed CMS platforms preferred
  • Familiarity with embeddings or vector-similarity analysis preferred
