About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and execute a territory strategy across Australian local and state government
  • Create and develop a strong pipeline of new government opportunities
  • Build trusted relationships with council executives, planning and development leaders, building and regulatory teams, CIOs, technology leaders, procurement teams and other government stakeholders
  • Identify councils and government agencies seeking to modernise planning, development assessment and building approval processes
  • Lead complex enterprise sales cycles from initial engagement and discovery through demonstrations, business cases, procurement and contract
  • Navigate tenders, RFQs, RFPs, procurement panels and complex public-sector decision-making
  • Develop strategic relationships across the Australian local government, planning and GovTech ecosystem
  • Collaborate with Government Solutions, Customer, Product, Technology and Marketing teams to turn opportunities into long-term partnerships
  • Represent Archistar at government, planning, technology and industry events
  • Provide market intelligence and customer insight to inform technology evolution for Australian government
  • Own pipeline, forecasting and revenue performance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years' enterprise SaaS or technology sales experience
  • Strong track record selling into Australian local or state government
  • Established relationships within the Australian government or GovTech ecosystem
  • Demonstrated success creating pipeline and winning new government customers
  • Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales
  • Strong knowledge of government tenders, procurement processes, RFPs and RFQs
  • History of achieving or exceeding significant sales targets
  • Confidence engaging council CEOs, executives, CIOs, planning, building, operational and technical leaders
  • Ability to translate sophisticated technology into a clear and compelling business case
  • Strong commercial, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Experience selling permitting, planning, land management, building approvals, GIS, regulatory technology, civic technology or digital government solutions would be highly regarded
