About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support an Arctiq client in building an SRE Center of Excellence
Establish SRE standards, release discipline, and a consistent operating model across application teams
Embed with two or three application teams per wave and leave reusable templates for tags, SLOs, synthetics, and dashboards
Define user-journey-based SLIs, targets, time windows, and error-budget tracking
Build SLOs in Dynatrace as code and provide compliance, burn-rate, and status views
Configure error-budget-based paging and route alerts through Dynatrace to ServiceNow with runbook links
Implement production-readiness checks in delivery pipelines, including synthetic tests, reliability baselines, and rollback validation
Promote blue-green releases where appropriate
Report DORA metrics and connect them to error-budget performance
Join the on-call rotation for embedded applications and troubleshoot incidents using Dynatrace and ServiceNow
Lead blameless post-incident reviews and convert outcomes into runbooks or backlog items
Communicate status, milestones, blockers, and next steps in plain language
Co-lead the SRE Center of Excellence, establish a golden path and standards, train team champions, and conduct error-budget reviews
Establish a production-ready golden path within the first 90 days
Enable application teams to independently promote changes using SRE frameworks and templates
Review error budgets and SLO performance monthly with application owners

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong SRE and reliability engineering experience, including SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, production readiness, and DORA metrics
Hands-on Dynatrace experience, including RUM, services, synthetics, SLOs, alerting, dashboards, and distributed tracing
Strong understanding of CI/CD, GitLab or similar tools, Infrastructure as Code, release controls, and automated reliability checks
Experience with Kubernetes, APIs, client-server architectures, and blue-green or similar deployment strategies
Strong knowledge of change management, incident response, on-call practices, ServiceNow, and production troubleshooting
Experience embedding reliability practices throughout the software delivery lifecycle, from development through production
Proven ability to lead engineers or SRE practices, establish standards, and drive adoption across application teams
Strong communication skills with the ability to work across engineering, application owners, and business stakeholders
Outcome-focused approach with experience managing clear milestones, deliverables, ownership, and timelines
Contractor availability for a 6–9 month contract opportunity, with potential extension
