About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver classroom-based sessions for blended learning
- Engage students via online platforms
- Provide feedback and enhance the student learning experience
- Lead interactive online sessions via Zoom for distance learning
- Engage students through discussion forums
- Provide prompt student support and feedback
- Participate in standardisation exercises
- Undertake formative and summative marking
- Adhere to strict assessment deadlines
- Provide supervision and guidance for student projects and dissertations
- Develop or revise lecture and learning content
- Ensure copyright compliance
- Participate in meetings, peer reviews, and staff development activities
- Deliver courses on a flexible, as-needed basis on a semester or task-and-finish basis
Requirements
What you’ll need- Recognised teaching qualification
- Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience
- Experience teaching and assessing students within the UK higher education sector
- Experience delivering student-centred teaching
- Experience teaching through distance learning for DL roles
- Up-to-date industry experience
- Fellowship of Advance HE, or willingness to work towards it with Arden’s support
- For postgraduate-level teaching, a postgraduate qualification or equivalent is desirable
- Applicants must be based in the UK
- Ability to deliver high-quality teaching and learning
