About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Deliver classroom-based sessions for blended learning
Engage students via online platforms and provide feedback
Lead interactive online sessions via Zoom for distance learning
Engage students through discussion forums and provide prompt support and feedback
Participate in standardisation exercises
Undertake formative and summative marking while adhering to strict deadlines
Provide supervision and guidance for student projects and dissertations
Develop or revise lecture and learning content while ensuring copyright compliance
Participate in meetings, peer reviews, and staff development activities
Deliver teaching and learning on a flexible, as-needed semester or task-and-finish basis

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must hold a recognised teaching qualification; accepted qualifications are detailed within the application form
A degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience
Experience teaching and assessing students within the UK higher education sector
Experience delivering student-centred teaching
For distance learning roles, experience teaching through distance learning
Up-to-date industry experience
Fellowship of Advance HE, or willingness to work towards it with Arden’s support
For postgraduate-level teaching, a postgraduate qualification or equivalent is desirable
