About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver inspirational teaching and learning experiences to distance-learning students
- Lead interactive online sessions via Zoom
- Engage students through discussion forums
- Provide prompt student support and feedback
- Participate in standardisation exercises
- Undertake formative and summative marking while meeting strict deadlines
- Supervise and guide student projects and dissertations
- Develop or revise lecture and learning content while ensuring copyright compliance
- Participate in meetings, peer reviews, and staff development activities
- Accept semester-based or task-and-finish work according to schedule and professional interests
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be based in the UK
- Must hold a recognised teaching qualification
- A degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience
- Experience teaching and assessing students within the UK higher education sector
- Experience of teaching through distance learning
- Up-to-date industry experience
- Fellowship of Advance HE, or willingness to work towards it with Arden’s support
- For postgraduate-level teaching, a postgraduate qualification or equivalent is desirable
- Ability to deliver high-quality teaching and learning
- Hours are not guaranteed; lesson allocation is determined by the school’s needs
