Key responsibilities & impact

Plan and execute functional, integration, end-to-end, regression and UAT testing across complex IT systems and integrations
Test system changes, releases and upgrades
Manage defects through to resolution
Shape testing from initial requirements through to release
Strengthen the Testing Centre of Excellence
Expand test automation
Explore innovative approaches to AI assurance
Produce test plans, scripts, evidence and quality reports supporting release decisions
Work across business systems, integrations and new product development
Help ensure reliable, high-quality digital services for students and staff

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven experience planning and executing functional, integration, end-to-end, regression and UAT across complex IT systems and integrations
Experience testing system changes, releases and upgrades, including managing defects through to resolution
Practical experience with test automation frameworks and test management tools such as Jira, Xray, Zephyr, TestRail or Azure DevOps
Strong understanding of testing methodologies, software development lifecycle, Agile delivery and risk-based testing
Working knowledge of SQL or equivalent techniques for validating data across systems
Experience producing test plans, scripts, evidence and quality reports to support release decisions
Understanding of GDPR and secure handling of personal data in test environments
Must be able to work under the stated remote arrangement with roughly one office/campus visit per month
