About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Identify in-scope migration objects, assess SAP standard object coverage, define object inventory, and determine load sequence and dependencies
Build and maintain source-to-target mappings, value mappings and transformation rules with functional teams
Prepare and maintain migration documentation, including mapping documents, transformation logic and test scripts
Plan and execute migrations in SAP S/4HANA DMC using staging-table and file-based approaches
Extract, cleanse and transform data from legacy systems and Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Sybase and Teradata databases
Prepare and load data into templates and staging tables; run simulations, analyse logs, and resolve errors through correction and delta reload cycles
Execute and own Mock Loads, SIT, UAT and Production cutover loads, including runbooks, cutover timing, defect tracking and go-live support
Provide hypercare support after go-live and document issues, fixes and process changes
Perform pre-load and post-load validation and reconciliation, including record counts, key fields and financial balances, and obtain business sign-off
Monitor migration jobs, manage scheduling and dependencies, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement permanent fixes for recurring issues

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 6 years of experience stated in the job data
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in SAP data conversion and migration, with at least one end-to-end project, preferably SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA
Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Data Migration Cockpit (DMC), including SAP standard migration objects, mapping and value rules, simulation, log analysis and error handling
Strong experience in ETL and data integration across different source and target systems
Experience in data validation, cleansing and reconciliation, and executing Mock, SIT, UAT and Production loads
Advanced Excel skills for reconciling large data sets
Strong SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills, including analysing job logs and identifying root causes of failures
Working knowledge of master and transactional data across FI, CO, MM, SD and PP
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field
Independent ownership, analytical problem solving, attention to data accuracy, cutover discipline, and clear communication with client and functional teams
