About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Advise and review vision provider contracts across multiple states
  • Lead contract reviews across assigned states, ensuring timely assessments and accurate documentation
  • Communicate assessment findings to contractors and identify escalations to the Chief Medical Officer
  • Evaluate and communicate monthly KPIs to individual contractors
  • Travel to clinical sites to support new contractors and staff, conduct contract performance evaluations, train clinical staff, and manage facility relationships
  • Partner with the Chief Medical Officer on standards of care, clinical workflows, and best-practice policies and procedures
  • Assist with appropriate management of assigned triage cases
  • Identify quality trends, risks, and improvement opportunities; escalate findings and recommendations
  • Promote consistent, high-quality clinical care delivery across all markets
  • Maintain an active clinical practice and model best practices in patient care and documentation
  • Serve as a clinical partner to the Chief Medical Officer on clinical policies, workflows, and standards of care
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of five (5) years of clinical vision experience
  • Experience with skilled nursing facility care strongly preferred
  • Doctor of Optometry Degree required
  • Prior experience in clinical leadership, quality assurance, auditing, or provider education preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and manage clinical escalations professionally
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to travel regularly and work in a multi-state clinical environment
  • Must align with Aria core values and commitment to quality patient care
  • Substantial time can be spent walking and lifting/pushing up to 100 lbs
  • Substantial time spent sitting at a computer
  • Must maintain a minimum of two (2) days per week of in-person clinical responsibilities
