About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective students and families throughout the recruitment and admissions process
- Help prospective students navigate admissions requirements, university policies, application processes, and next steps
- Conduct outreach to applicants with incomplete application materials
- Conduct one-on-one appointments, campus tours, information sessions, presentations, and engagement activities
- Facilitate, manage, and prepare programming for workshops, recruitment events, and presentations
- Respond to student questions and concerns via phone, text, and Salesforce
- Represent the school at Experience ASU and Sun Devil Days
- Participate in STPH yield events and serve on department and university committees
- Build and maintain relationships with program directors, faculty, admissions committee members, community partners, businesses, community colleges, high schools, and strategic partners
- Prepare administrative reports and documents
- Contribute to strategic recruitment plans and develop, edit, and distribute recruitment materials
- Collaborate across teams while operating independently and managing assigned priorities and urgent situations
- Attend local and statewide seminars, events, workshops, and conferences
- Travel to university and community college campuses and local and statewide recruitment events as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and nights depending on the recruitment season and upcoming events
- Ability to travel for events within Arizona, sometimes outside Arizona, and between ASU campuses
- Ability to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate varying distances
- Ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer keyboard and mouse
- Ability to bend, reach, lift, push and pull up to 25 pounds
- Ability to lift and transport items up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work under supervision and manage work tasks independently
- Willingness to attend evening and weekend recruitment activities
- Experience with Zoom, PeopleSoft, Salesforce, Mogli SMS, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite tools is desired
- Master's degree in higher education, student personnel administration, education, public health, or closely related field is desired
- Prior experience recruiting undergraduate and graduate students for on-campus and online programs, or experience in student recruitment, admissions, enrollment management, student services, outreach, community engagement, or a related field is desired
- Experience supporting accreditation processes and data collection is desired
- Successful completion of criminal background and fingerprint checks
