About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Clean and decontaminate rental and customer equipment, including medical beds and mattresses, upon return to the premises
- Decontaminate medical beds and mattresses according to approved infection control policies and processes
- Maintain daily circulation of products through the laundry efficiently
- Maintain laundry throughput records
- Adhere to all health and safety measures
- Identify equipment malfunctions for repair and suggest process improvements
- Undertake other reasonable requests from the line manager
- Perform short-term field work for deliveries or collections within TME accounts
- Support collections and deliveries on occasion to maintain Hygiene Centre productivity
Requirements
What you’ll need- Methodical, logical and practical approach to tasks
- Ability to prioritise work and amend priorities
- Ability to recognise when to escalate matters
- Experience of updating records methodically and accurately
- Awareness of Health & Safety principles
- Knowledge of product decontamination in an industrial laundry preferred but not essential
- Positive and team-oriented approach, with ability to work autonomously
- Good communication skills
- Proficient written skills
- Ability to lift heavy and bulky items for prolonged periods
- Full driving licence
- Must live within reasonable travelling distance to Belfast
- Availability to work outside normal hours, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays, if required
