About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Exceed assigned bookings and shipment targets within the designated territory
- Manage assigned accounts and maintain customer satisfaction
- Prepare proposals and quotations using the Armstrong sales process
- Build and grow the direct customer base through relationships with customers, distributors, and design engineers
- Identify new market opportunities and enhance brand recognition and loyalty
- Develop and maintain client relationships, including proactive engagement with consulting engineers to become the Basis of Design
- Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions
- Provide post-sale support and resolve customer issues
- Analyze and report customer feedback to improve service levels and expand market share
- Sell Armstrong products and solutions using the company’s sales strategy and process
- Maintain knowledge of product features, benefits, and competitive advantages
- Collaborate on sales strategies, marketing channels, and sales forecasts
- Apply commercial best practices aligned with the Armstrong Sales Process
- Maintain accurate, real-time CRM records of sales activities and customer information
- Compile and present sales reports
- Monitor competitive activities and market conditions
- Represent Armstrong at trade fairs, including booth preparation and attendee engagement
- Support special projects assigned by the line manager
- Foster teamwork and collaboration with other departments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical
- Significant experience in sales focused on HVAC and/or related industry
- Ability to create and deliver compelling presentations to prospective customers
- Experience using sales processes and value tools to present sustainable, energy-efficient solutions
- Experience tracking customer sales information, forecasts, and reports using CRM or related software
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC products and systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
- Strong interpersonal and persuasive skills
- Proven ability in value and solution selling
- Proactive problem-solving approach, initiative, and resourcefulness
- Strong team-oriented leadership skills with presence and bias for action
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized
- Ability to communicate in an open and authentic manner
- Clean and valid driving license
- Ability to travel regionally
