About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide expert occupational health advice to managers, HR teams and business leaders
  • Act as key relationship lead for external occupational health providers
  • Ensure high-quality and consistent occupational health service delivery
  • Oversee health surveillance programmes and support legal compliance
  • Support workplace adjustments, rehabilitation plans and sustainable returns to work
  • Contribute occupational health expertise to wellbeing initiatives and preventative health strategies
  • Support management of complex health cases and referral pathways
  • Use occupational health insights and workforce data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement
  • Provide input into policies, projects and strategic people initiatives
  • Travel to depots across Arriva UK as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Registered nurse
  • Recognised qualification in Occupational Health
  • Current NMC registration, e.g. Part 3 of the register
  • Experience supporting case management, workplace adjustments and health surveillance programmes
  • Strong occupational health expertise
  • Strong relationship management and influencing skills
  • Ability to communicate complex clinical matters clearly to non-clinical audiences
  • Sound judgement, discretion and commitment to confidentiality
  • Experience within transport, rail or another safety-critical environment would be advantageous
  • Occupational Health Specialist Practitioner qualification would be advantageous
