About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end onboarding process for new carriers, verifying documentation, insurance, and authority qualifications
  • Resolve regulatory concerns for carriers in the US, Mexico, and Canada
  • Use internal tools and third-party monitoring services to identify and remove non-compliant or high-risk carriers
  • Maintain carrier compliance systems, including authority status, inspection history, and safety alerts
  • Review carrier profiles, compliance history, contact information, and address accuracy
  • Monitor real-time and daily compliance alerts and dashboards
  • Address overbooked, out-of-range, and service-disrupting carriers
  • Review FreightGuard, WatchDog, and other industry reports
  • Audit DOT inspection data and trends and track improvement plans
  • Support Sales and Operations teams as a compliance subject matter expert
  • Respond to escalations and resolve compliance-related issues
  • Liaise with insurance providers and certificate systems regarding coverage renewals and updates
  • Generate compliance reports, metrics, audit results, and status summaries
  • Maintain and improve compliance SOPs based on regulatory changes, audits, and feedback
  • Monitor FMCSA policy changes and market trends and communicate impacts to leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in logistics, business, or compliance-related fields
  • 2+ years of experience in carrier compliance or transportation industry operations
  • In-depth knowledge of FMCSA regulations, insurance requirements, and carrier onboarding practices
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, G-Suite, and compliance/monitoring platforms
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
