About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor group e-mail Inbox and distribute messages and information to appropriate staffers
- Answer questions from and provide support to internal customers and external clients
- Resolve issues within the life cycle of the job from pickup to delivery
- Focus on inbound, outbound, and foreign freight movements
- Communicate transportation and job recovery information to management
- Quote freight charges and utilize preferred freight vendors
- Review freight variables including class, weight, dimensional weights, and special considerations
- Provide inbound and outbound in-transit tracking for internal and external customers
- Direct and coordinate inbound, outbound, and foreign-to-foreign freight movements
- Provide solutions to complex logistics transactions
- Enter shipment information into the ERP system
- File claims for damages or loss of material in transit
- Approve orders submitted for Export Compliance
- Assist carriers, Arrow departments, and distribution centers with loading, unloading, appointments, and daily pick execution issues
- Follow approved routing guides for carriers and processing centers
- Communicate with carriers regarding scheduling, shipping documents, tracking numbers, and proof of deliveries
- Process minor shipping requests, including redirecting freight and changing freight terms
- Research and resolve missed pickups, onsite issues, and damaged inventory
- Handle transportation inquiries from processing centers, sales, and client experience
- Perform other general duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2 - 4 years experience in similar role
- Transportation industry knowledge with an emphasis on import and customs processes
- Knowledge of US Export Regulations requirements and Classified products (HTN and ECCN if not provided) in accordance to US export regulations
- Arancel experience a plus
- English required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Must have comprehension of shipping modes (TL, LTL, and small parcel)
