About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define critical markets and new customers in the assigned sales territory
- Plan sales strategy and develop key customer relationships for solution selling
- Maintain and promote relationships with customer contacts identifying design opportunities and addressing business challenges
- Ensure customer satisfaction related to supply chain management and value-added services
- Develop strategic plans for assigned accounts and market Arrow’s full range of offerings
- Prepare and present internal quarterly business reviews (iQBRs)
- Lead regular QBRs with major customers to unlock additional sales opportunities
- Promote and sell Arrow’s value-added, supply chain, and full life-cycle programs
- Track sales using sales systems and build relationships with key suppliers
- Visit customers and suppliers throughout the week
Requirements
What you’ll need- Requires in-depth sales knowledge and experience
- Experience with electronic components preferred
- Experience interacting with vendors and customers in a technical and engineering environment
- Understanding of pricing programs and models within the electronics industry
- Comprehensive ability to develop strategic plans for assigned accounts
- Proficiency in sales tracking systems, Salesforce.com, and Oracle Establish
- Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel (VLOOKUPS, pivot tables, etc.)
- Field sales/industry experience strongly preferred
- Typically requires 3–7 years of related experience with a 4-year degree; or 3 years and an advanced degree; or equivalent work experience
- Ability to solve complex problems using existing solutions
- Ability to contribute to process improvements
