About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the single point of contact for large, multi-location, complex Arrow customers
- Create selling opportunities within assigned critical, large, multi-location, complex, and high-visibility customers through a strategic sales plan and process
- Understand customer needs and decision-making hierarchy to proactively assess, clarify, and validate needs
- Lead strategic account planning with mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones
- Execute solution selling using knowledge of Arrow’s supply chain solutions and design processes
- Grow profit and maximize margins by selling value-added, long-term solutions
- Coordinate sales support, service, and management resources to meet account objectives and customer expectations
- Manage a territory of accounts typically up to $125 million
- Plan, manage, and oversee RFQs within assigned customers
- Participate in significant contract reviews and negotiations
- Support contract amendments, renewals, and negotiation processes
- Analyze market share and competitor activity within assigned accounts
- Maintain a dominant market share position at assigned accounts
- Develop strategic relationships with managers, senior management, and C-level executives
- Grow sales and profits within assigned customers using distribution, representative, and supplier knowledge
- Interface with suppliers regarding demand creation progress
- Build relationships with supplier representatives and managers
- Develop relationships with marketing, product development, manufacturing, purchasing, and engineering personnel
- Lead functional teams or projects and serve as a best-practice and quality resource
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3-5 years of related experience
- Experience building influential customer relationships
- Experience creating selling opportunities within specified strategic customer accounts
- Experience with Aerospace and Defense customers strongly preferred
- Experience working with distribution in complex major accounts
- Hunter mentality
- Proficiency with data, SFDC, Excel, and PowerPoint required
- Excellent presentation skills
- P&L experience preferred
- Must be able to travel up to 30%
