About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prospect, identify, and build profitable insurance business within the broker distribution channel
  • Onboard new brokers and provide ongoing care to the existing portfolio
  • Provide training on SRIM’s Portals and identify new portal product opportunities
  • Liaise between SRIM Underwriting and external developers to create new portal products
  • Drive GWP and user growth on SRIM’s Portals
  • Collaborate with internal departments, peers, and colleagues to strengthen broker relationships and support business growth
  • Develop existing and new client relationships through targeted prospecting, sales programs, and digital marketing activities
  • Drive revenue through presentations and information delivery to brokers, associations, and other opportunities
  • Monitor industry trends to identify and develop new sales and business opportunities
  • Support Underwriters at broker meetings and events
  • Assist with eblast content and website improvements
  • Travel to and attend industry and networking events locally and across Canada
  • Work collaboratively within a dynamic team structure
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Report to the Chief Commercial Officer

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Level II General Insurance License; or CIP Designation preferred
  • Must possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter
  • Maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages
  • Routine or periodic travel requiring use of own or rental vehicle
  • Prospecting and acquiring profitable insurance business through the broker distribution channel
  • Ability to provide training on SRIM’s Portals and identify new portal product opportunities
  • Ability to collaborate with SRIM Underwriting and external developers
  • Sales, digital marketing, presentation, and industry networking capabilities
