About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan and lead change management for informatics initiatives
  • Support clinicians, informaticists, and field staff in adopting new workflows, standards, and systems
  • Support Interoperability and Clinical Informatics Solutions specialty areas, including Federal EHR transitions, standardized clinical workflows, informatics workforce programs, and health information exchange adoption
  • Complete change management assessments and develop change strategies
  • Develop transition plans and integrate change management activities into project plans and PI roadmaps
  • Create communication plans, roadmaps, coaching plans, training plans, and resistance management plans
  • Identify and analyze stakeholders across VHA Central Office, VISNs, and VA medical centers, and engage senior leaders
  • Identify and manage anticipated resistance, including in union environments
  • Evaluate and support user readiness for Federal EHR transitions, workflow standardization, and new informatics tools
  • Support adoption of health information exchange capabilities and standardized clinical content through field networks such as the Health Informatics Community of Practice
  • Support organizational design and define roles and responsibilities, including changes to field informaticists’ responsibilities
  • Define and measure success metrics, monitor change progress, and track and report issues
  • Participate in PI Planning, backlog refinement, iteration ceremonies, and system demos; align change activities with Feature delivery
  • Work within SAFe Agile Release Trains alongside OCI’s change management lead, clinical informaticists, and VA Business Owners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required
  • Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in change management or organizational transformation
  • Experience developing change management deliverables, such as communication plans, training plans, and resistance management plans
  • Experience with stakeholder analysis and engagement, including senior leaders
  • Experience measuring change adoption and user readiness
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a VA background investigation at the level assigned to the position
  • Must reside and work in the United States with U.S. work authorization
  • Prosci certification
  • Experience applying change management in a union environment
  • Experience with change management for health care organizations, including EHR transitions
  • Experience supporting VA or VHA
  • Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP)
  • Degree in organizational psychology, business, health care administration, or a related field
  • Experience on SAFe or Scrum teams
