About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and lead Article’s centralized Project Management Office function
- Provide intra- and cross-functional planning and workflow support to internal customers
- Oversee company-wide operating system methods, tools, governance, and compliance
- Lead program and project delivery support and optimization, especially the Product Lifecycle/Assortment program
- Own and deliver the annual strategic planning program
- Simplify, standardize, apply, and continuously improve PMO processes and tools
- Provide cross-functional project and program management services enabling internal customers to plan, execute, monitor, and manage objectives
- Elevate the PMO team so it drives projects rather than merely coordinates them
- Sponsor and safeguard delivery, quality, and health of the Assortment program
- Identify portfolio overlaps, duplications, resource constraints, ownership gaps, and downstream impacts
- Lead a high-performance, customer-focused PMO culture
- Establish project and program management methodologies, standards, processes, and best practices
- Establish tools and processes for monitoring project and program health
- Partner with senior leadership on annual portfolio optimization
- Manage PMO financial targets while minimizing overheads
- Travel to Vietnam at least once a year
Requirements
What you’ll need- 12+ years in direct project, program, portfolio management, or organizational operations
- At least 4+ years managing leaders/teams in a complex, fast-paced environment
- Experience leading a PMO or similar organization through a major inflection, such as establishing, scaling, or leading through major complexity
- Demonstrable goal-oriented, rather than administration-oriented, project/program/portfolio management mindset
- Ability to understand how multiple processes, tools, functions, and projects fit together to optimize company-wide outcomes
- Comfortable working with senior leadership up to CEO level and holding leaders accountable for project deliverables
- Prior experience with project, portfolio, and change management methodologies
- Proven success building and leading high-performance, goal-oriented teams
- Legally able to work in Canada
- Valid passport and ability to travel to Vietnam at least once per year
- Completion of criminal background check
