About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee multi-site preventative and corrective maintenance programs across fulfillment centers, retail showrooms, and offices
  • Manage building systems including HVAC, dock doors/levelers, fire safety, plumbing, electrical, waste, pest control, and janitorial services
  • Oversee preventative maintenance, site allocation, lifecycle budgeting, and vendor servicing for forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
  • Own the CMMS and work order intake tracking, including prioritization, escalation, closure, and performance reporting standards
  • Partner with Procurement to evaluate, select, and manage third-party vendors
  • Negotiate vendor scopes, monitor contract SLAs, enforce safety standards, and lead vendor re-bids or transitions
  • Conduct facilities risk assessments, identify safety hazards, enforce corrective actions, and initiate stop-work processes for imminent safety risks
  • Develop annual maintenance budget inputs, track portfolio spend, evaluate repair-versus-replace options, and authorize routine expenditures
  • Lead facilities readiness assessments for new store openings, warehouse expansions, closures, or relocations
  • Establish maintenance plans, align landlord and tenant responsibilities, and build scalable facilities operations across North America
  • Report to the Compliance and Maintenance Manager and collaborate with Safety, Retail, Fulfillment, Procurement, Legal, and Finance teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3 to 5+ years of progressive experience managing multi-site facilities, building maintenance, property management, or industrial equipment programs
  • Practical hands-on experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Direct experience managing preventative maintenance for material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Proven ability to manage regional/national vendors, enforce contract SLAs, evaluate proposals, and navigate landlord/tenant repair boundaries
  • Meticulous approach to tracking data, identifying recurring facility issues, organizing records, and building durable solutions
  • Ability to influence without direct authority, negotiate with external vendors, and communicate facilities risks clearly
  • Skills in budget tracking, repair-versus-replace evaluations, vendor cost analysis, and resource prioritization based on operational risk
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% across North America (US and Canada)
  • Legally able to work in the US
  • Completion of a criminal background check
