About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support Arxada’s North America Wood Business Unit and national customer base
  • Provide expert environmental, health, and safety regulatory guidance
  • Own and manage hazard communication documentation
  • Partner with Commercial, Product Safety, and Regulatory Affairs teams
  • Author, manage, and maintain Safety Data Sheets and GHS/OSHA-compliant labels using SAP
  • Provide EHS and hazardous materials regulatory guidance covering OSHA, HazCom/GHS, DOT, RCRA, and NPDES
  • Support customer technical inquiries, complaints, and compliance escalations
  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders and document consistent responses
  • Conduct customer facility assessments and audits
  • Deliver findings, recommendations, and follow-up actions
  • Support customer EHS program development, including written programs, SOPs, training materials, and corrective action plans
  • Prepare and review regulatory forms, reports, and permit documentation
  • Develop and deliver EHS and product stewardship training for customers and internal teams
  • Travel to customer sites close to existing offices as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Chemistry, or a related field
  • 5 years of advanced experience in EHS, product safety, or related regulatory roles
  • Working knowledge of U.S. federal and state regulations, including OSHA, RCRA, DOT, and NPDES
  • Experience with SDS authoring and maintenance systems (SAP EH&S or equivalent required)
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, employees, and stakeholders with confidence as a subject matter expert
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate complex regulatory topics clearly
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across functions
  • Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM preferred
  • Candidate ideally located in the Southeast or Northeast
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites close to existing offices
