About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Creates a business plan to drive awareness, maximize territory sales and generate revenue.
- Develops, implements, and continuously builds knowledge of territory, market dynamics, products, competitors, and disease states.
- Develops and maintains superior relationships within institutional target audience, including Key Opinion Leaders.
- Educates institutional target audience using Company-approved resources, sales materials, and promotional initiatives.
- Increases access and adoption at the institutional level, including P&T committee understanding, protocol development support, treatment pathway integration, and inpatient-to-outpatient care transition.
- Maintains accurate records of sales activities, including sales calls, presentations, targets/leads database, and follow-up activities.
- Participates in professional events, industry conferences, annual meetings, and company-wide meetings.
- Collaborates with Sales Operations, Field Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Market Access.
- Achieves sales goals and submits timely, accurate reports while adhering to ethical sales practices, compliance guidelines, and promotional regulations.
- Organizes and executes territory-specific events, such as speaker bureau presentations and lunch-and-learn programs.
- Participates in special projects or sales-related activities as necessary.
- Shares market intelligence to optimize brand strategy and execution.
- Manages assigned expense budget, including operating, travel, and promotional expenditures.
Requirements
What you’ll need- B.S. / B.A. in business, scientific, or other related discipline.
- Minimum of seven to ten (7-10) years’ experience in specialty pharmaceutical sales in complex institutions (academic medical centers, HSCT programs, transplant centers, regional referral hospitals, etc.)
- Experience in refractory HSV, IC, HSCT, SOT or hematologic malignancies required; experience in multiple disease areas strongly preferred.
- Work and lead cross functionally without having authority to achieve account goals/objectives
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrates in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitor knowledge; recognized as an expert resource by all relevant stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Consistently displays positive attitude through challenges and change.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Meets all requirements for health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing to gain entry into facilities and organizations that are in the assigned territory.
- A valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets Company standards.
- Travel Requirements: 60%-70% domestic. Overnight travel is required in this role.
