About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, maintain, and expand sales within the assigned territory
- Create and execute a strategic business plan to maximize net sales of assigned products
- Develop knowledge of the territory, market dynamics, products, competitors, and disease states
- Achieve sales goals and submit timely, accurate reports
- Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals and staff
- Educate target audiences on products using approved resources and promotional initiatives
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, calls, presentations, leads, and follow-ups
- Participate in professional events, industry conferences, annual meetings, and Company-wide meetings
- Collaborate with Sales Operations, Field Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Market Access
- Maintain supplies of sales literature and educational materials
- Organize and execute territory-specific events, including speaker bureau presentations and lunch-and-learn programs
- Share market intelligence to optimize brand strategy and execution
- Manage travel, operating, and promotional expenditures within the assigned expense budget
Requirements
What you’ll need- B.S. / B.A. in business, scientific, or other related discipline
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in specialty pharmaceutical sales
- Experience in transplant, nephrology, and/or rare/orphan specialty products preferred
- Proficiency working with specialty drugs via a HUB distribution model preferred
- In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitor knowledge
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Meets all requirements for health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing
- Valid driver’s license and driving record meeting Company standards
- Ability to travel 60%-70% domestically
- Overnight travel required
- Ability to adhere to ethical sales practices, compliance guidelines, and promotional regulations
