About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the focal point for existing big and elite advisor plan clients and their financial advisors
  • Manage relationships for plan accounts and financial advisors to ensure successful service experiences, product enhancements, and plan retention
  • Provide consultative advice and support as a dedicated contact
  • Promote plan retention through ownership, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
  • Protect, secure, and properly handle confidential Ascensus and client data
  • Demonstrate proactive client focus, teamwork, and support for organizational values
  • Leverage industry knowledge to promote client satisfaction, retention, and organic growth
  • Develop strong relationships with daily client contacts and C-level decision makers
  • Own resolution of issues escalated by clients and financial professionals
  • Advocate for clients internally by coordinating with Ascensus departments
  • Review the book of business to identify retention opportunities and create strategies for non-elite advisors
  • Develop education and communication strategies for assigned accounts
  • Cross-sell revenue opportunities and educate financial professionals and plan sponsors about products, processes, and services
  • Compile data, track communications and escalations, and offer solutions to enhance the Ascensus experience
  • Lead or participate in projects that create additional value for existing relationships
  • Analyze client and financial professional data and conduct outreach, including call campaigns
  • Maintain proficiency with partner and proprietary Ascensus products
  • Maintain proficiency with regulatory, financial, accounting, service, operations, and compliance aspects of relationship management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related fields, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in retirement services industry or related field is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years’ prior experience with direct client/client equivalent relationships within a financial services administrative environment
  • Certification or working towards certification (ASPPA, CEBS, etc.) in industry-related studies program preferred
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to a highly cohesive team environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with a high level of independence
  • Detail-oriented and able to produce high-quality work within tight time constraints
  • Ability to make sound business judgments while balancing client needs and organizational considerations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including group presentation experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to coordinate and run meetings attended by senior-level personnel
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Ability to travel as required
