About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Research and obtain up-to-date information on potential customers through trade associations, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, LOGCOMEX and DATALINE foreign trade statistics, trade fairs, symposiums, and lectures
- Identify, approach, register, and visit potential customers, presenting the product portfolio and the best cost and service options
- Explore business opportunities with each prospect or customer
- Share all actions taken before, during, and after acquiring each prospect with the Sales Support team
- Win, quote, and close sales; communicate the customer profile and introduce the customer to the company employees involved in the operation
- Ensure the best customer service and support before, during, and after product use
- Gradually increase the product offering and expand relationships within each customer account
- Present products and responsible contacts to strengthen personal and business relationships
- Enter relevant customer information into the system
- Assess customer and employee satisfaction to identify improvement opportunities
- Listen to customers and seek solutions to challenges, interacting with the departments involved
- Ensure excellent service and win-win negotiations; pursue customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Present spot negotiations, long-term contracts, and per diem demurrage rates when necessary
- Assist departments with collections and outstanding matters involving customers
- Monitor changes in freight rates, demurrage, per diem negotiations, traffic, and routes
- Exchange information with the team regarding competitors and market conditions
- Maintain relationships with ocean carriers to obtain information on routes and competitors
- Send sales leads to overseas agents
- Handle cost estimate requests and contact agents' sales leads
- Support departments in customer communications
- Negotiate changes to Incoterms to facilitate the closing of business in Brazil
- Strengthen business and personal relationships, fostering customer loyalty through new products
- Turn customers into advocates for the Group's services and customer care
Requirements
What you’ll need- Education: A completed bachelor's degree is preferred
- Experience: One year of experience in the role is preferred
- Language: Knowledge of English is preferred
- Experience in NVOCC companies is preferred
- Experience in freight forwarding companies is preferred
- Knowledge of CargoWise is preferred
- Basic knowledge of ocean, air, and road operations is preferred
- Experience in international logistics, foreign trade, or freight forwarding companies is preferred
- Experience with international freight forwarding is preferred
- Knowledge of international freight is preferred
