About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding: workstations, accounts and access
- Manage secure access and file exchanges with clients (SFTP, FTPS, allowlisting)
- Provide user support
- Support the help desk with infrastructure-related questions concerning clients’ on-premises environments
- Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux, DNS and certificates
- Monitor systems
- Manage backups, updates and patching
- Act as the group’s point of contact for Microsoft 365 and liaison with IT service providers
- Enhance and optimize cloud and Microsoft environments (Azure, Entra ID), particularly security, costs and best practices
- Automate recurring tasks and document the existing environment
- Strengthen endpoint and server security, monitor vulnerabilities and respond to incidents
- Contribute to ISO 27001 and GDPR compliance, security questionnaires and client audits
- Maintain technology awareness and propose continuous improvements
- Report to the Head of R&D and IT, dividing time between day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 2 years of experience in systems and network administration
- Excellent knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory
- Knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu and Debian)
- Knowledge of networking
- Knowledge of virtualization, monitoring, backup and information systems security
- Basic knowledge of Azure (configuration and day-to-day administration), or a strong desire to develop expertise in public cloud technologies
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 is a plus
- Scripting skills; PowerShell preferred
- Autonomous, with the ability to take ownership of tasks from start to finish
- Thorough and able to explain technical topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Fluent French
- Technical English reading and writing skills
- Azure AZ-104, Security+ or ISO 27001 certification is an advantage
- Permanent, full-time position · Management-level status
