About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a high-volume portfolio of concurrent client-facing technology, infrastructure, and professional services projects
- Coordinate project scope, delivery planning, resources, risks, budgets, milestones, recovery efforts, and stakeholder reporting
- Serve as the primary project contact for assigned customers and internal stakeholders
- Lead customer-facing project meetings and provide status updates
- Document decisions and communicate risks, issues, and action items
- Confirm business objectives, success criteria, communication cadence, escalation paths, and decision-making ownership during project initiation
- Maintain alignment between approved scope, delivery commitments, customer priorities, and internal execution plans
- Ensure project closure includes customer acceptance, final documentation, transition readiness, and lessons learned
- Evaluate priorities based on customer impact, contractual commitments, revenue, resource availability, risk, and milestone urgency
- Identify projects requiring recovery, escalation, leadership intervention, or additional resources
- Maintain portfolio reporting covering project health, milestones, financial exposure, resource conflicts, and aging action items
- Monitor financial health, resource capacity, backlog, scope changes, billing readiness, and delivery risks
- Maintain project plans, status reports, RAID logs, action trackers, financial records, and executive summaries
- Establish consistent meeting, reporting, decision, and follow-up cadences
- Triage competing priorities and escalate based on business impact
- Contribute to PMO maturity through process adoption, reporting consistency, lessons learned, scalable practices, and continuous improvement
- Report to the PMO Manager or designated Service Delivery leadership
- Travel to client sites for project kickoffs, discovery sessions, critical milestones, escalations, cutovers, or other delivery activities as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, project management, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered
- 7+ years of progressive project management experience
- Experience leading complex IT infrastructure, technology deployment, or professional services projects
- Success managing a high-volume portfolio of concurrent client-facing projects
- Strong leadership, facilitation, organization, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using portfolio and project management tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Teams, Smartsheet, and related collaboration/reporting tools
- Experience delivering IT infrastructure, networking, security, cloud, data center, endpoint, or managed services projects preferred
- Working knowledge of Cisco products or comparable technologies preferred
- PMP, PMI-ACP, Agile, Scrum, ITIL, or equivalent project delivery certification preferred
- Experience with Lucidchart, Visio, or other process and delivery visualization tools is a plus
- Ability to communicate with executive sponsors, customers, technical teams, vendors, and internal leadership on business and technical matters
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities, processes, resources, and customer requirements
- Ability to independently prioritize portfolio demands, delegate effectively, and guide project coordinators and junior project managers
- May need to lift or move equipment or materials up to 25 pounds during on-site project activities
